Junior Congregation

Junior Congregation, lead by Fanny Sernik, is held on select Shabbats during the school year at 11:00 A.M. in our Savage Family Chapel. This lively, participatory service provides our congregation’s young people the opportunity to explore, in context, the prayers and Torah portion.

By the time they “graduate” to the sanctuary service, they will feel comfortable with prayer as a part of their Jewish life. As students gain proficiency in both prayer skills and Torah trope they will have the opportunity to first lead in Junior Congregation and then share their skills with the congregation in the main sanctuary.
