Our goal is to get together every month to discuss a movie we all watch on our own and then discuss via a Zoom meeting. This is one of the social programs Sisterhood sponsors for the greater community of Temple Israel. However, if you are a member of Sisterhood but not the Temple, you can still partake in our movie club.
The title of the movie will, of course, be in the Bulletin as well as disseminated in timely blast to synagogue members.
We are currently looking into titles of the movies we will watch this year – and are very open to suggestions! If you have a movie that you think would be a good choice for the Movie Club to watch and discuss, please forward the name to our Co-Presidents, Jennifer Schreiber or Amara Goldstein at TISisterhoodOrlando@gmail.com
Our movie for February 2021 is A Stranger Among Us (1992): Emily, a tough NYPD cop, is sent to an orthodox Jewish community to investigate a missing person plus $720,000 in missing diamonds. To solve what becomes a murder case, she has to join the community.
The date of the Movie Club discussion for the movie is February 28, 2021 at 7pm.
